1800Mediate Mediation Resource
1800mediate.com is your “toll free” website…in other words a website where you can receive free information and resources pertaining to
mediation. If you feel you have a dispute and litigation is not the route you want to go, have a certified mediator mediate your case – the end result will most likely be a better resolution that meets both parties' needs as well as taking less time and costing a lot less as well.
Mediation is rising in popularity and more and more people are choosing to mediate their disputes resulting in longer lasting and more satisfactory mediated resolutions.
What if I call 1800mediate?
Unfortunately you would not reach us. Our presence is strictly online and we chose the name because 1800mediation was taken. So, we took the next best thing because we liked the idea of having a “toll free” website so to speak.
Who will mediate my case if I go to mediation?
It depends on the situation and type of case.
Mediators are certified in a specific area such as divorce mediation, commercial mediation, community mediation, etc. In many states in the US and other countries, mediators need to be licensed and often times by the bar (the organization that licenses lawyers). Often times mediators are retired judges or lawyers turned mediators. However, certified
mediators who have had no legal background can be just as effective if not more in many cases as they don't have that “prior life” that clouds how they mediate.
Who do I turn to if I am ready to mediate my case?
Well, there are numerous mediation and conflict resolution centers in communities across the world.
Mediation is still most popular in the states but is gaining in popularity across the globe. Check your yellow page listings for mediators as they are often listed – there are very few mediation firms per se, so you would need to look for individuals.
